As Head of Gaming & esports at AD Gaming, Sultan Al Riyami is tasked with transforming Abu Dhabi into a global powerhouse in the gaming and esports sector. His successes so far including the launch of the AD Gaming initiative and the onboarding of over 40 leading gaming and esports companies to base themselves in Abu Dhabi – including Unity Technologies, Ubisoft, and BLAST Premier.

In his current role as Head of Gaming and e-Sports, Sultan is driving further growth in Abu Dhabi’s creative industries and is playing a key role in maximizing the emirate’s AED 30+ billion investment into the CCI industries. Under his leadership, Sultan has been instrumental in bringing key esports tournaments for the first time to Abu Dhabi in an effort to diversify the gaming community and bring more events to the MENA region. This includes the BLAST Premier World Final, which saw the world’s top CS:GO teams descend on Abu Dhabi to compete for over $1 million prize pool in December 2022.
