A professional airline pilot who has travelled the globe for over 18 years, Mark has now left the world of aviation to pursue the tabletop retail chain that he established 9 years ago.

What started off as an idea he pondered while flying became a reality in early 2015, when Back to Games was founded. The concept emanated from his passion for tabletop gaming yet was rooted in his strong belief in the vital importance of human connection.

These two ideas came full circle in November 2015, when the first Back to Games shop opened in Abu Dhabi. More than just another retail shop, Mark envisioned Back to Games to be the place where people learn to play games, where communities will be built, and a place for all live their hobby and passion to the fullest.

A year after its inception, Mark decided to take Back to Games to Dubai, with a second branch opening in Times Square Center, in March 2017 and then a third branch in Town Center – Jumeirah, in October 2020.

His drive to continue to spread his love for this hobby fueled by the incredible people he continues to meet throughout his journey, are the driving forces behind his brand’s strength and expansion.
